According to reports from Spanish media, Mbappe is expected to be sidelined for approximately three weeks.
“Following tests carried out today by Real Madrid’s medical services on our player Kylian Mbappe, he has been diagnosed with an injury to the biceps femoris in his left leg,” said the Spanish champions in a statement.
Kylian Mbappe showcased his brilliance with a stunning goal in Real Madrid’s thrilling 3-2 win over Alaves at the Santiago Bernabeu, bringing his tally to five goals in seven La Liga appearances this season.
After the match, Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti addressed Mbappe’s condition, saying, “He’s fine, just a bit overloaded. He asked for the change to prevent any issues.”
However, Mbappe is expected to miss next week’s Champions League clash against Lille and possibly France’s October Nations League fixtures against Israel and Belgium.
