EKO HOT BLOG reports that the session, presided over by Speaker Mojisola Meranda, was attended by 36 lawmakers, with Obasa notably absent.
During the sitting, Abiodun Tobun, representing Epe Constituency I, commended the Federal Government’s economic policies, noting that insecurity in Lagos had significantly reduced due to various interventions. He also moved a motion urging the House to send a letter of commendation to President Bola Tinubu for his administration’s positive impact.
The motion received strong backing from Gbolahan Yishawu of Eti-Osa Constituency II and other lawmakers, who highlighted key economic reforms and security improvements under Tinubu’s leadership.
Speaker Meranda also praised Tinubu’s economic policies, stating that they were setting Nigeria on the right track. “The President has approved loan access for small-scale businesses, and our stock market capitalization is growing. These are positive signs for the economy,” she said.
