The successful candidate will play a strategic role in enhancing industry partnerships, driving collaborative research, and translating findings into practical, impactful solutions.
This position requires a blend of leadership, stakeholder engagement, and project management expertise. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in aligning academic research with real-world industry needs, securing funding opportunities, and positioning the LBS Sustainability Centre as a leading voice in sustainability and ESG.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement strategies for engaging industry stakeholders, government agencies, and research institutions

Secure and manage research funding, ensuring alignment with industry trends and institutional goals

Serve as the primary liaison with external stakeholders, overseeing project execution and compliance

Lead research teams in developing high-impact teaching materials and sustainability-focused research

Monitor ESG developments, promote sustainable practices, and represent LBS at industry events

Build and maintain relationships with funding bodies, industry leaders, and academic collaborators
Qualifications and Experience

Minimum of a postgraduate degree (MSc or PhD) in a relevant field

At least 7 years’ professional experience, including 3 years in a leadership role

Proven ability to manage research initiatives, secure external funding, and work across academic and industry environments

Knowledge of research commercialisation, intellectual property, and technology transfer

Professional certification and membership of a relevant professional body
