The Lagos commissioner for wealth creation and employment, Mrs. Yetunde Arobieke has asked for private organizations to be involved in economy development and stimulation through every possible wealth creation empowerment.
The wealth creation Commissioner made the call at stakeholder’s summit held on Wednesday at NECA house with the title “Wealth Creation through Economic Employment -Catalyst for Holistic Transformation “.
She said unemployment across the state could be conquered and eliminated by empowerment, wealth creation and brokering into initiatives by the government.

“Empowerments and wealth creation will play an important role in Nigerian economy, for Nigeria’s economy potential remains untapped. For many developing countries, entrepreneurship has been a powerful engine of economic growth and wealth creation, and is crucial for improving the quality, number of variety of employment opportunities” she said.
While highlighting the efforts by the present administration towards addressing the plight of the unemployed in Lagos, Mrs Arobieke revealed that the gestures by Governor sawwo-olu range from employability training, artisan skilling, and access to loan facilities.
“The governor has approved the choice of 2,000 job seekers for internship programmes at corporate organizations where they will be well trained with skills to ensure their abilities for six months” she stated.
Chairman of the Lagos state assembly house committee on Wealth Creation and employment ,Mr Jude Idimogu however, promised participants at the summithat the legislative arm of the state government would continue to enact business-friendly policies to engender the growth of businesses and across the state.
