MRS Oil Nigeria Plc, a major distributor of petroleum products from the Dangote Refinery, is selling fuel at higher prices than Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd), North West, TotalEnergies, and Mobil in Lagos.
Eko Hot Blog gathered that MRS filling stations were selling petrol at N925 per litre, compared to NNPC Ltd’s N915, and N910 per litre at North West, TotalEnergies, and Mobil outlets.

The rise in fuel prices follows the global increase in crude oil costs driven by the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran.
Additionally, Dangote Petroleum Refinery raised its ex depot price—the rate at which it supplies products to marketers—from N825 to N880 per litre.
Current data shows MRS sells petrol at N955 per litre in the Southeast; N935 in Ogun, Oyo, Ondo, Osun, and Ekiti States; N955 in the Northeast; and N945 in the Northwest and North Central zones.
Just recently, Petroleumprice.ng confirmed these fuel price increases. The platform, known for providing updates on petroleum pricing and oil sector news in Nigeria, also reported a range of adjustments by various suppliers.
According to their data, Dangote Refinery raised its ex depot price from N825 to N840 per litre. Rainoil adjusted its rate from N850 to N900, while Fynefield and Mainland increased theirs to N930 and N920, representing hikes of N51 and N63 respectively. Sigmund sold at N920 per litre, Matrix Warri at N910, NIPCO moved its price from N827 to N895, and Aiteo increased from N825 to N840.
The Major Energies Marketers Association of Nigeria (MEMAN) Competency Centre, in a recent energy bulletin, noted that the landing cost of petrol had reached N914.15 per litre, with a 30 day average of N898.23.
Diesel was priced at N1,076.56 per litre, with a 30 day average of N985.79, while aviation fuel (ATK) stood at N1,208.75, with a monthly average of N939.75 per litre.
