The police spokesperson in Lagos, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, made the disclosure in a statement on Wednesday.

Hundeyin, in a post on Twitter, said the suspect was caught robbing people with a fake gun.
He, however, said the unnamed man will face the law “like he used the real McCoy.”
The police spokesperson supported his claim with Section 403 of Nigeria’s Criminal Code Act which prescribes punishment for attempted robbery.
The act states that any person found in any public place with firearms, whether real or imitation, and in circumstances indicating they intended to commit a crime, is liable to at least 14 years and not more than 20 years in prison.
