EKO HOT BLOG reports that Commissioner of Police, CP Olohundare Jimoh, in a statement issued by Command spokesperson, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, said the operation includes Rapid Response Squad (RRS), EKO STRIKE FORCE, Police Mobile Force, Counter-Terrorism Unit, Intelligence Department, and Special Protection Unit.
Key areas such as Eid prayer grounds, mosques, recreational centres, and other public spaces will witness heightened patrols. Officers have been directed to enforce crowd control, traffic management, and ensure free movement throughout the festive period.
The Command also stated that black spots and suspected criminal hideouts will be targeted for surveillance and policing. The goal, CP Jimoh said, is to instil confidence among residents and visitors while deterring criminal elements.
Residents were urged to be vigilant and report suspicious activity through the Command’s control rooms on 08063299264 or 08065154338. Complaints regarding police misconduct can also be filed through the Lagos State Police Complaint Response Unit via http://lagos.npf.gov.ng, WhatsApp at 09111111151, or by calling 09111111150.
The Police Commissioner emphasized professionalism and civility among officers, instructing them to respect citizens’ rights while maintaining firm control where necessary.

CP Jimoh also appealed to community leaders, religious figures, and parents to educate the public and youths on the importance of law and order during the celebrations. He warned that any individual or group caught disrupting the peace would face the full weight of the law.
He concluded by extending warm Eid greetings to the Muslim community and all residents of Lagos, wishing them a peaceful and joyous celebration.
