The Lagos State Police Command over the weekend re-arrested a 23-year-old man named Taiwo Sunmonu for acts of armed robbery which he did with accomplices.
The criminal suspect according to a press release posted on Twitter by Gboyega Akosile, the Chief Press Secretary to the Lagos State Governor, previously served a five-year jail term at the Kirikiri Correctional Facility and was released in November 2020.
His jail term clearly served him no lessons as he and his gang members were caught robbing people in the Oto Awori area of Ijannikin this time around.
EKO HOT BLOG gathered that some of the gang members escaped, but the police were still able to recover a locally-made pistol and live ammunition from Sunmonu.
