The LASIEC delegation was warmly received by Hon. Lateef Adesanya, who represented the Executive Chairman of Eredo LCDA, Hon. Ismail Monsuru Akinloye. Discussions centered on the commission’s preparations, election guidelines, and the need for collaboration with the local government to ensure a smooth electoral process.
Justice Ighile highlighted the commission’s dedication to transparency and urged the council to support voter education, security, and pre-election logistics.
“LASIEC is fully committed to conducting a credible election. However, our success depends on cooperation from local governments to provide an enabling environment for voters and election officials,” she stated.
Hon. Lateef Adesanya, in his response, assured LASIEC of the council’s unwavering support in ensuring a hitch-free election.
“Eredo LCDA is fully on board with LASIEC’s vision for a smooth and fair election. We will provide the necessary assistance to ensure compliance with all electoral guidelines,” he affirmed.
As part of the visit, the officials inspected the nearly completed LASIEC agency building in Eredo LCDA, assessing the designated office space for electoral officers ahead of the polls.
