The Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government, Hon. Princess Surah Olayemi Animashaun, FHTI, has reaffirmed her administration’s commitment to ensuring the safety of lives and property through proactive security measures, effective collaboration with security agencies, and sustained community engagement.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the chairman stated that her administration has continued to prioritize security by working closely with law enforcement agencies, traditional rulers, community leaders, and other critical stakeholders to strengthen surveillance and improve intelligence gathering across the local government area.
According to her, maintaining peace and security remains a collective responsibility that requires the active participation and cooperation of all residents.
Princess Animashaun noted that the local government has consistently supported initiatives aimed at enhancing public safety while ensuring swift responses to security concerns whenever they arise.
She therefore called on residents to remain vigilant and security conscious in their daily activities, emphasizing the importance of reporting suspicious movements and unusual activities to the appropriate authorities.
“Let us all remain security conscious in our daily activities. If you see something, say something immediately. Report any suspicious movement or unusual activity to the appropriate security authorities. Together, we can keep Epe safe,” she stated.
The council boss further assured residents that her administration would continue to strengthen partnerships with relevant stakeholders to sustain the peaceful atmosphere currently enjoyed across communities within Epe Local Government.
She reiterated that a secure environment remains essential for social and economic development, adding that government would not relent in its efforts to protect residents and create an atmosphere where businesses can thrive and families can live without fear.
Princess Animashaun also encouraged residents to continue supporting security agencies with useful information that could assist in preventing crime and safeguarding communities.
