LASIMRA Commences Enumeration of Telecoms Masts

The Lagos State Infrastructure Maintenance and Regulatory Agency (LASIMRA) has initiated an enumeration exercise for communication masts and towers across Lagos State.
Eko Hot Blog gathered that working in collaboration with the Association of Licensed Telecommunications Operators of Nigeria (ALTON), the initiative is set to span at least three months, beginning on February 1, 2025.

LASIMRA’s General Manager and CEO, Prince Oyekanmi Elegushi, outlined the primary objective of this exercise in a statement, stating that the agency seeks to update its database with accurate and comprehensive information on all communications, telecommunications, radio, television, and security infrastructure within the state.
“This effort will not only enhance regulatory oversight but also ensure the safety and well-being of all residents by identifying and addressing any potential structural or environmental concerns associated with masts and towers.
“We urge all stakeholders, including telecom operators, broadcasting companies, banks, security companies, property owners, and the general public, to cooperate fully with our team of enumerators during this exercise”, General Manager appealed.
