EKO HOT BLOG reports that Nollywood actor and politician Yul Edochie has warned Nigerians against the recent trend of destroying bank Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) in response to the Naira scarcity and the confusion surrounding the deadline of old Naira notes.
According to reports, since protests have broken out across some states in the country, many Nigerians have taken to the streets to voice their anger and frustration by destroying government and bank facilities.
However, in a recent post on his Instagram account, Yul Edochie emphasized that damaging bank properties is not the solution to the current situation and will only lead to further difficulties.

The actor assured Nigerians that the present situation is temporary and that destroying ATMs will only result in fewer machines available to dispense cash, making it harder for people to access their money.
He added that the damages caused by the destruction of ATMs will also be suffered by the people, and that they should be guided in their actions.
“No matter how angry you are about the Naira situation, destroying ATM machines is not the answer. The fewer machines we have, the more difficult it is to get money, and we will still suffer. Let’s be guided. This time shall pass,” Edochie wrote.
