1. Oduah’s N5bn trial shifted to June 5
A former Minister of Aviation, Stella Oduah, whose trial was slated for February 13, has been rescheduled to June 5.
The former aviation minister will be arraigned before a Federal High Court over a N5 billion fraud.
The matter which was scheduled for February 13 was not listed on the cause list, The Cable reports.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission alleged that Oduah misappropriated public funds worth N5 billion while serving as a minister under former President Goodluck Jonathan.
2. Why I did not visit Oba of Lagos – Obi
The Labour Party Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has clarified why he did not pay a courtesy visit to the Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu, during his mega rally in the state on Saturday.
Unlike other states where Obi always visited traditional rulers before embarking on his campaigns, he started out in Lagos at the Alaba International Market.
Obi later headed for the Tafawa Balewa Square, where a campaign rally was held with many of his supporters and party faithful in attendance.
Controversy trailed the fact that Obi did not visit Oba Akiolu, as some wondered why the LP standard bearer didn’t do so.

A goalkeeper has tragically died from a heart attack seconds after saving a penalty.
Arne Espeel, 25, was in action for Winkel Sport B against Westrozebeke in Belgium on Saturday when the shocking incident occurred.
The stopper’s side were leading 2-1 when the opposition were awarded a spot-kick early in the second half, The SUN reports.
It was gathered that he however managed to keep his team’s advantage as he correctly dived the right way to save the penalty.

Labour Party on Monday refuted claims that its southwest members have dissolved into the All Progressives Congress (APC) saying it was fake news.

7. Why Atiku’s campaigners cancelled Rivers rally- Wike
Rivers Governor Nyesom Wike has explained that campaigners of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar cancelled their state’s rally because they lack the numbers to fill the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium he approved for the event.
He described the claim by the PDP Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) that the campaign was put off because of fear of bloodshed as false.
He said despite granting the approval for the venue, Atiku campaigners created some scenarios and later ran away because of their lack of capacity.
8. Over 500 Clerics back Tinubu for President
Barely 11 days to the 2023 Presidential election, over 500 Christian clerics on Monday threw their weight behind the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his running mate, Kashim Shettima.
The clerics made this known at a stakeholders conference in Abuja in collaboration with the APC Presidential Campaign Council Stakeholders Special Duties Directorate.
The Christian Leaders under the aegis of The Clerics Congress of Nigeria (TCCON) said the public announcement of their support for the APC’s presidential standard bearer, Tinubu and Shettima became necessary in view of their track record of positive leadership and development.
The Clerics led by Archbishop Ali John Ali and Bishop Timothy Cheren described Tinubu and Shettima as competent, highly capacitated and visionary with a pedigree of progressive leadership and Nation building.
