The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt.-Gen. Olufemi Oluyede, has approved the posting and appointment of senior officers to new positions in the Nigerian Army. This was announced on Saturday, January 11, by Army spokesman, Maj.-Gen. Onyema Nwachukwu.

The changes are aimed at improving the Army’s effectiveness, strengthening leadership, and addressing security challenges across the country. The new appointments cover command, staff, and training roles, including Principal Staff Officers (PSOs), General Officers Commanding (GOCs), Corps Commanders, and Commandants.
