The case was brought to court by the Kano State Film Censorship Board, following the circulation of a video in which Tsulange was seen on a public street wearing female underwear and pretending to bathe. The board condemned the act, labeling it as immoral and contrary to societal values and Islamic teachings.
In a statement released Friday, the board’s spokesperson, Abdullahi Sani Sulaiman, described the video as offensive and potentially misleading to young audiences on social media.
He reiterated the board’s commitment to monitoring digital platforms for content deemed harmful to public morals, particularly among the youth.
“The board will continue to take actions against any individual or group spreading indecent content online under the guise of entertainment,” the statement added.
