Man City’s 115 Charges: Premier League Set Date For Hearing
Manchester City faces accusations of violating financial fair play regulations by failing to provide the league with accurate financial records. The Premier League alleges that the club, currently managed by Pep Guardiola, breached these rules over nine seasons—from 2009 to 2018—more than 100 times. Among the violations, one claim is that the club did not accurately disclose the remuneration paid to a particular coach, contradicting the publicly reported figures.

During this period, Manchester City secured three Premier League titles (2012, 2014, and 2018). The club is expected to vigorously defend itself against the charges, with the full proceedings likely to span two months.
When these allegations were first brought forward last year, Manchester City rejected them, issuing a statement in their defence.

“Manchester City FC is surprised by the issuing of these alleged breaches of the Premier League rules, particularly given the extensive engagement and vast amount of detailed materials that the EPL has been provided with.
“The club welcomes the review of this matter by an independent commission, to impartially consider the comprehensive body of irrefutable evidence that exists in support of its position.
“As such, we look forward to this matter being put to rest once and for all.’
