- Manchester United have taken a step in joining the rest of football by appointing a Football Director.
- The news has just been announced with the club also appointing the Technical Director
- And also Director of Football negotiations.
John Murtough is now Manchester United’s new Football Director, leaving his old job of Head of football development which he started in 2013.
Former United player Darren Fletcher has also got a new role in the club and will serve as the Technical Director working closely with Murtough for the success of the club, EKO HOT BLOG gathered.
Matt Judge is the new Director of Football negotiations. In a statement released in the club’s official website, all the three are expected to work close together with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer especially John.
As Football Director, John will work day-to-day with Ole to align recruitment and other strategies and to ensure that the first team has the best-in-class operational support it needs to succeed.
This may now mean that Woodward takes a step back in the transfer market leaving the new Football Director to revolutionize Manchester United’s market approach.
