Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government and Hon. Razaq Bamidele Kasali (RBK) of Lekki Local Council Development Area (LCDA), alongside their vice-chairmanship running mates and councilorship candidates across eleven wards.
The rally wasn’t just a political gathering; it was a powerful declaration of unity, strategy, and grassroots engagement.
The event drew the presence of top-ranking APC stalwarts including Divisional Leader and Governance Advisory Council (GAC) member, Alhaji Akanni Seriki Bamu, alongside Dr. Tola Kasali, Alhaji Bode Oyedele, Alhaji Tunde Isiaka, and Rep. Bayo Balogun.
Also in attendance were APC Lagos State Welfare Secretary Hon. Kehinde Adeniyi, and State Youth Leader Dr. Seriki Muritala.
Alhaji Seriki Bamu, revered across the Epe Division, commended the renewed alignment among political actors in Ibeju-Lekki, calling it a vital shift that will pave the way for electoral success.
He praised Hon. Olowa and Hon. Kasali for their remarkable achievements at the grassroots level, describing them as leaders who have left an indelible impact on their communities.
He advised councillorship candidates to stay rooted in their wards and be more than figureheads, to serve as visible, accessible voices of the people.
“Don’t just hold titles; live with the people. Let them see you and feel your presence,” he said.
Speaking with fiery optimism, Dr. Tola Kasali urged all APC members to carry the momentum back into their communities.
“The path to victory is right in our neighborhoods. Mobilize and let the votes do the talking,” he declared, further announcing that the ward with the highest vote turnout will be rewarded handsomely, a move designed to ignite healthy competition.
Echoing the forward-looking message, Alhaji Bode Oyedele expressed confidence in the party’s position across the Epe Division, affirming that the groundwork has been laid for an APC clean sweep at the polls.
However, the rally also sounded notes of caution, particularly from Alhaji Tunde Isiaka, who drew attention to the fast-changing political terrain in Ibeju-Lekki, shaped by rapid urbanization and population growth triggered by mega-projects like the Dangote Refinery.
He urged for deliberate engagement with non-indigenous voters, especially through door-to-door sensitization.
“We cannot afford to assume traditional strongholds. Politics here has evolved, and so must our strategy,” he said.
