A massive crowd of All Progressives Congress (APC) members and supporters from Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area (LCDA) stormed Government College, Owutu, Ikorodu, on Saturday, June 28, 2025, for the Lagos East Senatorial District Mega Campaign Rally.
Ekohotblog reports that the high-energy political event featured the official unveiling of all 16 APC Chairmanship and Vice Chairmanship candidates from Lagos East ahead of the upcoming July 12 Local Government Elections.

The delegation from Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA was led by the LGA APC Chairman, Hon. Wittu Bamidele Ajenifuja, and included the council’s flagbearers — Otunba-Akogun Wale Raji Anomo (Chairmanship candidate) and Alhaji Wasiu Oluwole Dehinsilu (Vice Chairmanship candidate).
Six APC councillorship candidates representing the LCDA’s six wards were also in attendance, parading their unity and readiness for the polls.
The rally was graced by prominent figures, including the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, who represented Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu as Special Guest of Honour. Other key stakeholders present were:

The event underscored the APC’s strength and internal cohesion, as speaker after speaker reaffirmed the party’s determination to clinch a clean sweep in the July 12 elections.

Speaking to the crowd, Hon. Wittu Ajenifuja emphasized grassroots mobilization and continuity in progressive leadership.
“What we witnessed here today is a clear message that Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA and the entire Lagos East are united and ready. Our people have seen what APC leadership can deliver, and they want more,” he said.
On his part, Chairmanship candidate Otunba-Akogun Anomo expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support from party members and constituents.
“This is a movement rooted in performance, not promises. We are bringing governance that truly listens and delivers,” he said confidently.
Senator Tokunbo Abiru, addressing party loyalists, called for sustained unity:
“This rally is not just symbolic; it is strategic. It shows that we are one family, committed to delivering dividends of democracy at all levels,” he said.
Party leaders urged members to sustain the energy, build on the momentum, and ensure full voter turnout on election day.

The rally was also a significant boost for the Anomo-Dehinsilu ticket in Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA, as the crowd cheered their achievements in infrastructure, education, health, and youth empowerment.
“We stand on our track record, and we are ready to do even more for our people,” said Alhaji Dehinsilu, the Vice Chairmanship candidate, while addressing supporters waving APC flags.
