EKO HOT BLOG reports that Speaking on Wednesday at the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting held at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja, Tinubu acknowledged tensions within the party, particularly grievances expressed by former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai and ex-Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi.
To address internal discord, Tinubu approved the establishment of reconciliation committees in all states, tasking them with fostering unity among party members.
The president also expressed confidence in his administration’s economic policies, particularly the reported decline in food prices ahead of Ramadan.
“I have heard your concerns regarding security and food security in the country. I am pleased to see food prices dropping, especially as we approach the Ramadan period,” Tinubu said.
He further highlighted ongoing global economic challenges and assured Nigerians that his government is taking measures to cushion the impact on citizens.
“Everywhere in the world, particularly in Europe, economic shocks are occurring. We are working tirelessly to mitigate these effects,” he added.
Tinubu also announced plans to relocate the APC National Secretariat to a more spacious location, describing the current site as inadequate for party activities.
“The place we are gathering today is too small for us. I agree that we need a bigger space. We will discuss this with the relevant authorities and take action,” he stated.
Reaffirming his commitment to the party, Tinubu urged aggrieved members to support ongoing reconciliation efforts.

“I appeal to all our party leaders to remain patient. I assure you, I will not let any of you down,” he concluded.
