NECO has released the 2021 SSCE results.

EKOHOTBLOG reports that the National Examinations Council (NECO) has announced the release of the the results for the 2021 Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE).

The latest development was made known by the NECO Registrar, Prof. Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi, on Friday.

Wushishi, who announced the release of the results at the Council’s Headquarters in Minna, the Niger State capital, disclosed that out of 1,233,631 candidates who registered for the examination, 1,226,796 sat for it.

The NECO Registrar added that the number of male candidates was 657,389, representing 53.28%, higher than the number of female candidates which was 576,242, representing 46.71%.

He further disclosed that 878, 925 candidates, representing 71.64% obtained five credits in English Language and Mathematics, with a decrease of 2.25% as compared to the results released in 2020.

Wushishi noted that 1,226,796 candidates, representing 94.04% had five credits and above irrespective of English Language and Mathematics with an increase of 2.13% as compared to 2020 results.

The Registrar added that the examination body recorded 20,003 various cases of examination Malpractices, representing 1.63% in 2021, which is lower than the 2.61% cases in 2020.

He stated that the late release of the 2021 results was due to challenges “as a result of some actions by agencies that have direct bearing on our operations”.

The NECO boss also announced the release of the BECE results as he directed candidates to visit the Council’s website to check their results.
