- Newcastle are reportedly ready to sign Aaron Ramsey despite his heavy wage bill
- He could be the club’s first signing since the takeover in October
Ekohotblog reports that English Premier League club, Newcastle have reignited their interest in signing Juventus midfielder Aaron Ramsey despite earlier concerns about his wage bill.
According to the ‘Daily Mirror’, despite Aaron Ramsey’s very large salary at Juventus, Newcastle United are not afraid of paying him the 24 million euros a year he currently gets at the Italian side.

The Turin giants brought Ramsey to the club in 2019, but they are now said to be willing to let him leave on a free transfer, with the Welshman’s wage demands being the only stumbling block for interested parties.
Since the takeover of Newcastle by a Saudi led consortium at the beginning of October, Newcastle have been linked with a long list of potential signings, with Ramsey now expected to become one of the first signings of the new era in the north east.
The midfielder has found game time hard to come by at Juventus so far this season.
Ramsey has played for less than 100 minutes across three Serie A appearances, only one of which came from the start.
