Sunday, January 1 – New Year’s Day.

Monday, January 2 – New Year’s Day holiday.

Friday, April 7 – Good Friday, which is a Christian holiday that marks the day of Jesus’ crucifixion.

Monday, April 10 – Easter, which is the Monday following Easter Sunday.

Saturday, April 22 – Eid-el Filtri, which is a Muslim holiday that marks the end of the month of Ramadan.

Sunday, April 23- Eid-el Filtri additional holiday.

Monday, May 1 – Labour Day/Workers’ Day.

May 27 – Children’s Day (Public Holiday for Schools and Children and their teachers.

Monday, June 12 – Democracy Day.

Thursday, June 29 – Eid el Kabir, another Muslim holiday.

Friday, June 30 – Eid el Kabir additional holiday.

Wednesday, September 27 – Eid el Maulud, the birth of Prophet Muhammed (SAW).

Sunday, October 1 – Independence Day (National Day).

Monday, October 2 -holiday, because Independence Day fell on a Sunday.
