Egypt wants to win all their matches at AFCON 2022, starting with Nigeria today

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the head coach of Egypt national team, Carlos Queiroz, says they are prepared to play seven games at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2022, and hopefully win all of them.

The match between Egypt and Nigeria at the State Roumde Adjiab on Tuesday in Garoua is one the most highly anticipated of the tournament’s group stage fixtures.

Egypt have won the tournament a record seven times, while the Super Eagles lifted the trophy on three occasions, most recently in 2013.

“We have a lot of players that are competing among themselves for a starting position, and that’s great because we came here to play seven games.

“Our ambition is very simple. Win all the matches.” Queiroz, a former assistant coach at Manchester United said during his pre-match press conference.
