Anthony Joshua narrowly escaped death in a road accident on Monday, December 9, along the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway around the Makun axis of Ogun State.
Eko Hot Blog reports the crash, which involved a sport utility vehicle travelling from Lagos to Sagamu, claimed the lives of 2 male foreign nationals. The Ogun State Government confirmed that the bodies of the deceased have been deposited at the Livewell Mortuary in Sagamu.

1. Anthony Joshua
World heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua narrowly escaped death on Monday, December 9, in a road accident along the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway around the Makun axis of Ogun State.

The crash involved a sport utility vehicle travelling from Lagos to Sagamu and resulted in the death of 2 male foreign nationals. The Ogun State Government confirmed that the victims’ remains were deposited at the Livewell Mortuary in Sagamu, adding that investigations into the cause of the accident are ongoing.
2. Harrysong
Afro pop singer Harrysong survived a car accident on June 24, 2016, while travelling with his crew from Owerri to Lagos. He was on his way to perform at the opening gala night of Project Fame Season 9 when the incident occurred.

The singer later took to Instagram to express gratitude to God, describing the experience as a near death encounter.
3. Burna Boy
Grammy Award winner Burna Boy was involved in a car accident on February 26, 2022, when his Ferrari 458 was damaged in Lekki, Lagos.

Videos of the incident went viral before the singer confirmed it on Instagram. He stated that he sustained only minor leg pain and criticised onlookers who chose to record rather than offer help.
4. Dunsin Oyekan
Gospel singer Dunsin Oyekan survived a serious auto crash on September 3, 2022, while travelling from Lagos to Ibadan for a church ministration.

The vehicle reportedly went under a trailer while he was asleep. Although a crew member sustained minor injuries, all occupants survived. Oyekan later described the incident as a miracle while ministering in church.
5. Sensational Bamidele
Gospel singer Sensational Bamidele, who leads the live band that performs during Rivers State government project inaugurations, survived a fatal accident in December 2022.

He disclosed that his vehicle somersaulted 8 times following a head on collision in Rivers State. The singer shared the testimony on Facebook, thanking God for preservation.
6. CDQ
Popular indigenous rapper CDQ survived a car crash in Lagos on August 15, 2023. The ‘Nowo E Soke’ crooner shared videos from the accident scene on Snapchat, revealing that his Mustang was badly damaged.

He expressed concern over possible internal injuries but later confirmed he was safe.
7. Bukola Arugba
Nollywood actress Bukola Arugba survived a car accident on the Third Mainland Bridge, Lagos, in December 2023.

The crash occurred a day before her birthday and caused severe damage to her car. She shared the experience on Instagram, describing how her vehicle spun uncontrollably before stopping at the edge of the bridge.
8. Victor Boniface
Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface survived a car accident in Germany on Sunday, just hours after helping Bayer Leverkusen secure a 2 to 1 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt.

The 23 year old footballer shared images and videos of his damaged car on social media, declaring gratitude to God for sparing his life.
