The clarification came amid widespread speculation about an alleged raid on Bello El-Rufai’s residence in Kaduna. The EFCC labeled the story a “false narrative” and urged the public to disregard it.
The agency’s statement read: “‘EFCC Discovers $800 Million, ₦700 Billion Cash, and ₦1 Trillion Worth of Drugs at Nasir El-Rufai Son’s House in Kaduna’—This news is entirely false. Members of the public are advised to ignore it.”
Bello El-Rufai also denied the allegations, emphasizing that no such raid or discovery occurred.
