Speed Darlington, who was arrested on November 27 for allegedly cyberstalking Grammy award-winning artist Burna Boy, has been in police detention for over a month.
Despite the court’s ruling granting him bail on Monday, his continued detention has sparked criticism from his legal team and supporters.

In an Instagram post on Thursday, Alieke expressed frustration over the situation, revealing that he had exhausted his connections in Abuja, but no one was willing to assist, citing Speed Darlington’s past actions.
He condemned the police for ignoring the court’s directive, which mandated they either release or arraign Speed Darlington within 48 hours.
Alieke stated, “We’ve done everything a lawyer should do to secure his release. I’ve reached out to my political connections, but people are avoiding this case, saying ‘Akpi got what was coming to him.’
