NPFL Announces New Dates For Matchday 3
The Nigeria Premier Football League, (NPFL) Board has rescheduled the fixtures for matchday 3.
According to a statement released on Monday by NPFL Chief Operating Officer Davidson Owunmi, and communicated to the respective state football associations, three matches will now take place on Sunday, September 22.

These include Sunshine Stars hosting Abia Warriors at the Dipo Dina International Stadium in Ijebu Ode, Kano Pillars facing league leaders Remo Stars at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium in Katsina, and defending champions Enugu Rangers taking on Bayelsa United at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu.
The remaining seven fixtures of matchday 3 are scheduled for Wednesday, October 2, with three of them set to be televised live. Fans will be able to enjoy the match between Kwara United and Ikorodu City at the Kwara Sports Complex in Ilorin, Nasarawa United’s clash against El-Kanemi Warriors at the Lafia Township Stadium in Lafia, and the Plateau United vs. El-Kanemi Warriors game at the Jos International Stadium.

The other four fixtures include a historic rivalry between Bendel Insurance and Shooting Stars at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City, Heartland FC hosting Katsina United at Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri, Lobi Stars facing Rivers United at Lafia Township Stadium, and Enyimba squaring off against Akwa United in Aba.
