The university’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. Abiodun Olarewaju, confirmed the incident yesterday, noting that the student had already repeated Part Two in the previous session.
The student, whose father is a medical doctor, reportedly injected himself at his parents’ home in Ejigbo, Osun State.

In response, OAU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Adebayo Simeon Bamire urged parents and guardians to teach children that temporary setbacks are a part of life and not the end.
He encouraged students and young people to see failure as a chance to redirect their paths toward success and greater achievements.
Prof. Bamire prayed for God to grant the parents, family, Faculty, College of Health Sciences, and the university community the strength to endure this irreplaceable loss.
