The Ojora of Ijora and Iganmu Kingdom, Oba AbdulFatai Oyegbemi, announced on Monday that he had removed six chiefs from their positions.
Eko Hot Blog gathered that the decision followed their attendance at the Labour Party campaign launch in Apapa ahead of the upcoming Lagos State local government elections.

Oba Oyegbemi convened a palace meeting where he expressed displeasure over their attendance at the event without his permission.
He also accused the chiefs of breaching palace protocols by falsely representing him during the event.

The affected individuals are Chief Taiwo Hassan (Bale of Oke Ira), Chief Saliu Biliamin (Bale of Alafia Dodoro), and Chief Lateef Ojora (Bale of Alaba Oro). Others include Chief Idris Ojora (Bale of Abule Kere), Chief Sule Balogun (Balogun of Abule Kere), and Chief Hakeem Oseni (Bale of Mosafejo Amukoko).
In a statement issued by the palace, Oba Oyegbemi explained that the removal of the six chiefs was necessary to preserve order and unity within his leadership structure.
