Obi Cubana Celebrates 50th Birthday with Lavish “50 for 50” Extravaganza

Nigeria’s capital, Abuja, was the stage for a spectacular celebration on April 12, 2025, as renowned nightlife entrepreneur Obi Cubana marked his 50th birthday in true extravagant fashion, Eko Hot Blog reports.

Themed “50 for 50,” the grand event showcased the harmonious blend of luxury, faith, music, and impact that has come to define Cubana’s career and life.

Also know as Okpataozueora1, or Obi Cubana, the founder and CEO of Cubana Group, ushered in his milestone birthday with a poignant Instagram post.

Donning majestic traditional attire, he wrote a simple yet profound message: “12.04.25 Happy Birthday, Obi Cubana. 50yrs! 50for50.”

Celebrating her husband, Ebele Iyiegbu, aka Lush Eby, posted a picture of him in an elegant attire and wrote, “You are my gift, Dim oma!”

Series of extravagant events took place in the days leading up to the main party. The celebrant’s mansion was alive with music and performances by highlife singers, dancers, and cultural artists.

One highlight of the festivities was a heartfelt tribute track titled “Obi Cubana Special (Okpole Nwa Mama)” by Anyidons, which premiered during the celebrations.

In collaboration with Gold Bar Whiskey, Obi Cubana launched the “Golden Age with Gold Bar” campaign, which included a ₦2 million cash prize, a luxury car, and VIP access to celebratory events in Abuja, Lagos, and select global cities.

The campaign also invited artists to design a special 50th birthday logo, fostering engagement with fans and the creative community.

The birthday extravaganza kicked off with an exclusive soirée hosted by Samsung Nigeria, dubbed “The Night Before 50,” where guests were surprised with 50 Samsung S25 smartphones in honor of Cubana’s 50th.

The celebrations continued with a Holy Communion and Thanksgiving Service, infusing spirituality into the lavish affair.

Throughout Obi Cubana’s week-long birthday extravaganza, the socialite received an array of lavish gifts. One standout moment came from Ituma Chukwuemeka of Enviable Transport Limited, who presented Cubana with two trailers filled with 50 brand new tricycles.

CIG Motors also surprised the celebrant with 50 minibuses, adorned with Cubana’s face, thanks to the generosity of Jubril of Lagos and Chairman Diana Cheng.

Other notable gifts included 2,000 cartons of tomatoes from Sonia Foods and dresses, bags, and wigs for 50 lucky individuals, courtesy of Cubana’s wife.

Earlier in the week, Cubana received 50 rams and 50 Bibles, as well as a bag filled with cash from his brother.

The main event at Transcorp Hilton was nothing short of spectacular.

The venue was transformed into an elegant visual symphony of black, white, and gold, featuring giant portraits of Cubana, golden chairs, radiant floral centerpieces, and sparkling crystal chandeliers strategically placed throughout the space.
