Olise Equals Thierry Henry’s Champions League Debut Scoring Record

Michael Olise matched the UEFA Champions League scoring record set by legendary Arsenal and France forward Thierry Henry, netting a brace in Bayern Munich’s 9-2 victory over Dinamo Zagreb on Tuesday night.

Olise, making his debut in the competition, scored twice as the Bundesliga giants cruised to a dominant win.

According to Squawka, Olise became the first French player to score two or more goals in his Champions League debut since Henry, who achieved the milestone in 1997 while playing for Ligue 1 side AS Monaco.

In addition to Olise’s impressive performance, Harry Kane contributed four goals in Bayern’s emphatic victory.
