Oloja Of Epe Ends 20th Anniversary With Thanksgiving
The 20th anniversary of HRM Oba Kamorudeen Animashaun, the Oloja of Epe, the paramount ruler of Epe land ended with a special thanksgiving service where friends, family, and well-wishers from far and wide converged to celebrate with him, the ‘journey so far’.
Ekohotblog understands that the one-week long event which began Monday, February 17th was fun-filled with exciting activities from a novelty match to free medical check-up, cultural display, grand finale ceremony, and a special thanksgiving service.
At the special thanksgiving service to mark the Epe Monarch’s anniversary, at Saint Michael Anglican church, Epe, Lagos state, the church choir exhibited great singing and dancing prowess to the delight of the Oba and others.

The pastor, Ven. Lawrence A. Ajayi used the opportunity to admonish traditional rulers and palace chiefs to be truthful and honest when giving the Oba information so as to sustain peace and unity in the Kingdom.
In his message, entitled kingdom requirements, the Chief Priest stressed the need for traditional rulers to be truthful no matter whose ox is gored, adding that God in his wisdom founded the world in truth.
In his remarks, HRM Oba Kamorudeen Animashaun expressed his appreciation to God for the afforded opportunity to witness such a momentous moment in his life.
The success recorded in the last 20 years could not have been possible without the unflinching support and allegiance of the people of Epe Kingdom whom he owes a debt of gratitude.
Oba Kamorudeen Animashaun appreciated the people of Epe for their unrelenting efforts at effecting rapid development in all nook and cranny of Epe kingdom.
In the last 20 years, Epe kingdom has witnessed tremendous development. Epe has made tremendous strides in the area infrastructural regeneration, basic social amenities, economic and educational development.
Despite the great strides achieved thus far, Epe in terms of development is nothing compared to the abounding opportunities to come if only indigenes can collectively harness their strength. Urged all traditional rulers to come together in prayer for this to be achieved.
St Michael Anglican the venue of the thanksgiving anniversary according to Oloja Of Epe Oba Kamorudeen Animashaun provided the necessary foundation for him, so coming back as a traditional ruler gives him a sense of achievement.
He, therefore, called on the indigenous people of Epe to join hand with him in taking Epe into its pride position as an economic powerhouse of Lagos State. He also reminded them that all these are only achievable in an atmosphere of peace and unity.
Oloja of Epe expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the people of Epe Kingdom, the league of traditional rulers and the Oloja in council and the anniversary committee for their support morally and financially.
