Oloris in Ibeju-Lekki Honor Hon. Olowa for Outstanding Leadership

Ekohotblog reports that the wives of traditional rulers in Ibeju-Lekki, operating under the umbrella of The Oloris in Ibeju-Lekki, paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, at the council secretariat. This visit served as a gesture of appreciation for his exemplary leadership and commitment to the community.

The Oloris recognized the council’s sponsorship of their participation in the recent Committee of Wives of Lagos State Officials (COWLSO) conference. The queens, represented by the wives of the Gbadewolu of Araromi Land, Ojomu of Lakowe, Onisolu of Solu, and Olu Kaiyetoro of Kayetoro Land, expressed their gratitude.

 

“We are gathered here today to express our gratitude to you, Hon. Olowa, for your unwavering support, which made our participation in the COWLSO conference possible.

 

Your commitment to promoting unity among traditional rulers has contributed to enduring peace and harmony in our communities,” one of the representatives remarked.

 

During the visit, the Oloris presented an award of recognition to Hon. Olowa, acknowledging his exceptional leadership and contributions to the local government.

 

“This award is a testament to your hard work and dedication to the people of Ibeju-Lekki. We assure you of our steadfast support and prayers for your continued success in office,” another queen remarked during the presentation.

In his response, Hon. Olowa expressed heartfelt gratitude for the recognition. “I am truly honored to receive this award from such esteemed women. The Oloris play a vital role as partners in preserving our cultural heritage, and I am committed to supporting our traditional institutions,” he stated.

 

He highlighted the need for better cooperation between the local government and traditional rulers, explaining that, “By working together, we can achieve more progress in our communities and ensure that people stay united.”

 

He also mentioned that strong partnerships will lead to faster development, improved services, and a stronger sense of belonging among the people.

 

A strengthened promise was made from both the Oloris and Hon. Olowa to unite efforts for the improvement of Ibeju-Lekki.
