EKO HOT BLOG reports that a standout feature of the deal is a rare “anti-Italy clause,” inserted by Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis. This clause means Galatasaray must pay €150 million if Osimhen is sold to any Serie A club before 2027. The clause is reportedly aimed at preventing the striker from returning to an Italian rival after his high-profile performances in the league.
Osimhen, 26, was instrumental in Napoli’s 2023 Serie A title triumph but fell out with the club amid swirling transfer rumours. He was loaned to Galatasaray last season, where he reignited his form with 37 goals in 41 appearances, prompting Galatasaray’s push for a permanent deal.
Despite financial hurdles and a late attempt by PSG to hijack the deal, Galatasaray secured the signing by agreeing to a letter of credit, ensuring full payment to Napoli. The only unresolved issue is a potential sell-on clause that could benefit Napoli in future transfers.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the deal is done, pending final documentation. Osimhen has reportedly started contacting friends in Istanbul, indicating his imminent return. Galatasaray fans can now expect a major boost ahead of the new season with Osimhen leading the line.
