“We are pleased to announce that, by the grace of God, we have resolved the differences that were causing challenges within the National Working Committee. We now stand united, which is essential for the progress of our party, the PDP,” Oyinlola said.
He further revealed that the committee would present its findings and recommendations to the PDP Governors’ Forum later in the evening.
When asked for specifics on the issues resolved, Oyinlola declined to provide details, stating, “These were internal matters, but I cannot itemize them for you now.”
Regarding the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting scheduled for Thursday, pushed by a faction loyal to Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed, Oyinlola clarified that it was outside the scope of his committee’s mandate.
“The NEC meeting was not part of our discussion. My focus was on resolving the NWC issues, and I am happy to say that my task is complete,” he said.
An anonymous NWC member also confirmed the successful conclusion of the reconciliation process, indicating that the committee’s findings and recommendations would be submitted to the PDP Governors’ Forum for approval later that night.
