All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirant, Oloye Saheed Oladele, hosted an unprecedented meeting with all 33 local government chairmen in Oyo State, marking a major effort to unite the party.
During the meeting, Eko Hot Blog reports that Oladele addressed the party leaders, stating that internal division caused the APC’s recent loss in the Ibadan North Federal Constituency by-election.

He emphasized that the party must first mend its internal cracks before it can defeat the rival Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in future elections.

Oladele revealed that he has deliberately avoided building a personal political structure, stating that “party unity is more important than any aspirant’s ambition.” He urged the APC to nominate a young, neutral, and widely acceptable candidate for the 2027 governorship election.
Speaking on behalf of the chairmen, Architect J.O. Omoniyi of Ibadan Southwest LGA affirmed their commitment to strengthening the party. He stressed the importance of unity, ensuring the APC does not enter the 2027 polls divided. The chairmen commended Oladele’s efforts and offered prayers for his success.
