Oyo Govt Commends AMIS At 2023 Children Get-Together, Promises Support

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Oyo State Government has lauded the Association Of Model Islamic School, (AMIS) Oyo State Chapter for its valuable contribution to knowledge propagation in the state.

Commissioner for Education Prof. Salihu Abdulwaheed Adelabu gave the commendation on Thursday while participating at the Association’s Annual Children Get-together held at Obafemi Awolowo Stadium, Ibadan.

Tagged Iba Abegunde, the event was hosted in honor of His Royal Majesty Alhaji Tajudeen Aminu Abimbola, Kawojue 1, Iba of Abogunde, Surulere local government area of Oyo state.

The Commissioner who was represented by the Elder Delani Binuyo, Permanent Secretary/IGE Ibadan Zone 3 at the event lauded AMIS for impacting knowledge and instilling morals in future generations.

“I appreciate what you’re doing here today. It’s great that you have this kind of program to create an interactive environment for all your students”

“We have so many schools under the umbrella of AMIS in Oyo state and I can categorically say that they’re all law abiding”

Speaking further, the permanent secretary promised to deliver the Associations request for government support.

In his remark, HRM Iba Abegunde, who is also the proprietor of Attahoeed International Secondary School, Omosin, Ogbomoso gave thanks to Almighty Allah for making the event a reality.

He commended AMIS for its steadfastness in the propagation of both Islamic and western education and offered prayers for the continuous growth of the Association.

Earlier, the event host Alhaji Tohir Kunle Ahmad, Chairman Oyo state AMIS appreciated member schools for their continuous support and cooperation.

Alhaji Abbas Lawal, Proprietor, Masha Allah Starlight School and the former chairman AMIS, Oyo state chapter also congratulated member schools and students on the occasion of yet another children get-together and charged them to always be a good ambassador of Islam in all of their endeavor.

The event was well attended by top government officials, traditional rulers, religious leaders and politicians.

Highlights of the event includes Qur’an recitation, Hadith translation, parade, choreography, lecture, donations among others.
