According to Osifeso, the suspect was intercepted around 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday by the Federal Highway Patrol team while travelling in a white bus with registration number XA 551 IRG at the Toll Gate axis of the Ibadan Expressway.
Upon interrogation, the cleric reportedly confessed that he purchased the suspected human flesh in Lagos.
He has since been transferred to the Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Iyaganku, for further investigation.

“The suspected item is undergoing forensic analysis to determine its authenticity and source,” Osifeso stated.
In a related development, police operatives recovered an abandoned Toyota Camry with registration number LSD 957 JX during a routine Stop and Search operation. The driver allegedly jumped out of the vehicle and fled the scene when flagged down by officers.
The command has urged anyone with legitimate claims to the vehicle to present verifiable documents at the police headquarters.
Osifeso reiterated that Stop and Search operations are deliberate security measures designed to maintain law and order and ensure the safety of residents and travellers.
He added that the Commissioner of Police, Femi Haruna, appreciated the public’s cooperation and assured sustained efforts to combat crime across the state.
