“You cannot be a sinner by eating and drinking. I’ve told you before, alcohol is not a sin,” he declared. Pastor Damina emphasized that his primary role as a preacher is to teach the doctrine of salvation through faith in Christ rather than enforce moral regulations.
“My job is not to teach you morality; my job is to teach you salvation by faith in Christ. That is why you’re here,” he explained, underscoring his commitment to preaching the essence of the gospel.
While standing firm on his perspective, Pastor Damina acknowledged the potential consequences of certain behaviors. “If you smoke, it can harm your body. If you drink alcohol, you might find yourself in a gutter. These are basic life lessons you should have learned at home,” he noted, cautioning his audience about the physical repercussions of such actions.
Known for his unconventional and thought-provoking teachings, Pastor Damina’s remarks have sparked diverse reactions. Critics argue that his views could encourage moral laxity, while supporters commend his focus on spiritual growth and avoidance of judgmental attitudes.
