Peter Obi Arrested DSS

Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), has not been arrested by the Department of State Services (DSS), according to his media aide, Valentine Obienyem.

Obienyem dismissed the rumors, clarifying that Obi was not even in Nigeria when the alleged arrest was reported to have occurred in his Anambra home.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that in a statement released on Tuesday, Obienyem also debunked claims that Obi’s wife, Margaret, had been arrested, labeling the reports as completely false and unfounded.

“As of Saturday, Mr. Obi was in Rwanda attending to important engagements,” Obienyem said. “He has since returned to Nigeria and is currently in Edo State, where he is actively involved in party and national matters.”
