EKO HOT BLOG reports that the statement described Obi’s tour as part of his ongoing commitment to connect with Nigerians abroad and strengthen efforts to build a “new Nigeria.”
This tour marked the final segment of his North America appreciation visits, which previously included stops in Toronto, Canada; Boston, Massachusetts; New York City; West Orange, New Jersey; Dallas, Texas; Charlotte, North Carolina; and Detroit, Michigan.
In a post on his X account on Sunday, Obi expressed gratitude to the Nigerian diaspora across North America for their support and contributions. He shared highlights from his final event, an open forum with Nigerians in Atlanta, joined by Georgia state legislators.
“I encouraged everyone to hold on to the vision of a New Nigeria—a nation where institutions work, the rule of law prevails, and all citizens have equal opportunities,” Obi stated. He further expressed hope for a Nigeria that values merit, lifts citizens out of poverty, and provides a fair chance for all.
Concluding his tour, Obi extended his “heartfelt gratitude” to the diaspora community, urging them to remain committed to efforts toward building a “new Nigeria that is POssible.”
