Governor Sanwo-Olu won reelection as Lagos governor in the March 18 governorship election.
He is set to be sworn in for another four years in office.
Nearly two weeks before his inauguration, he was in Abuja for an induction ceremony.
Eko Hot Blog reports that Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Tuesday, joined his fellow governors and Mr Terry McAuliffe, the 72nd Governor of Virginia in the United States, in Abuja for the 2023 Induction programme for governors.
Governors who were elected for their first term in otfice in the March 18 governorship election also participated in the programme.
The event, which held at the Presidential Banquet Hall, State House, Abuja, was organised by the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF).
Others were Prof Charles Soludo; Governor of Anambra State; Governor Abiodun Oyebanji (Ekiti); Governor Ahamdu Fintiri (Adamawa); Governor Abdullahi Sule (Nasarawa) and Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq (Kwara State).
Attendees included Mr Boss Mustapha, Secretary to the Government of the Federation; Engr Seyi Makinde; Aminu Tambuwal, Governor of Sokoto State; Governor of Oyo State; immediate past Governor of Ekiti State, Dr Kayode Fayemi; Mr Donald Duke, former Governor of Cross Rivers State, and Mr McAuliffe, former Governor of Virginia.
