PHOTOS: Sanwo-Olu Receives Official Results Confirming His Reelection As Lagos State Governor

• The Lagos governorship election held on Saturday, March 18, 2023.

• Governor Sanwo-Olu won a hard-fought contest by a landslide.

• His victory means he will remain Lagos governor till May 29, 2027.

Eko Hot Blog reports that Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has received the official results confirming his reelection.

Senator Tokunbo Afikuyomi, the Head of Lagos APC Election Task Force for the governorship and house of assembly elections, made the presentation on Tuesday.

The brief ceremony was also attended by the State Chairman of APC, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi; Mr Fuad Oki, the Chief Collating Officer; and Mr Dele Alake, Special Adviser Media to President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Sanwo-Olu polled 762,134 votes to defeat his opponents, including Labour Party’s Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, who scored 312,329 votes.
