Police Raid Presidential Office After Yoon Suk Yeol’s Martial Law Fiasco

Police conducted a raid on the presidential office a week after President Yoon Suk Yeol’s failed attempt to impose martial law.

Reports indicate that Yoon was not present during the raid.

Investigators were instructed to seize records related to cabinet meetings held on the night of the martial law declaration.

The National Police Agency, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, and the National Assembly Police Guards were also searched as part of the investigation.

Meanwhile, former defence minister Kim Yong-hyun, who was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly proposing martial law, attempted suicide while in custody late on Tuesday. A justice ministry official assured parliament that he is now in stable condition.

North Korean media weighed in on the martial law declaration, labelling it an “insane” move by a “fascist dictator.”
