- The Lagos State Police Command has reacted to Sunday Igboho’s planned Yoruba Nation rally in Lagos.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Lagos State Police Command has said it is not aware of the plan of popular Yoruba freedom fighter, Sunday Adeyemo well known as Sunday Igboho, to hold a Yoruba Nation rally in the state.
Sunday Igboho had earlier vowed to shut down Lagos for a mass rally to sensitize residents about the secession agenda.
Igboho, who spoke through his spokesperson, Olayomi Koiki, declared his readiness to storm Lagos on Saturday, July 3 alongside other agitators for the Yoruba Nation rally.
The rights activist had held similar rallies across the South-West states including Osun, Ogun, Ekiti, and Ondo.
However, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, while reacting to the planned demonstration in the state, said the Command was not aware of any Yoruba Nation rally by Sunday Igboho.

The police spokesperson added that the Command would react appropriately when it is informed of the planned mass rally in Lagos State.
“I am not aware of that (Sunday Igboho’s planned Lagos rally). When the command is aware, the command will react to that. For now, as I speak with you, we are not aware of that,” Adejobi stated.
EKO HOT BLOG understands that Sunday Igboho, who gained prominence following an ultimatum he issued to killer-herdsmen in the South-West region, has been leading the agitation for the Yoruba Nation.
