RCCG Pastor Arrested Over ‘Ladies and Gentlemen’ Greeting Abroad– Adeboye Reveals
Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has revealed that a pastor from one of the church’s branches abroad was arrested for addressing a gathering with the phrase “ladies and gentlemen,” which was deemed discriminatory against individuals who do not identify as male or female.
During the RCCG’s monthly thanksgiving service at the Throne of Grace, the church’s national headquarters in Ebute-Metta, Lagos, Adeboye expressed concern over the erosion of moral values worldwide.

“The end is nearer than you think,” he warned. “Things are getting worse, and this is a wake-up call. One of my pastors was arrested simply for saying ‘ladies and gentlemen.’ People complained it was discriminatory, asking, ‘What about those who are neither?’”
Pastor Adeboye also shared a startling encounter involving a woman who referred to her dog as her husband. “When asked about her husband, she said, ‘I took him to the vet before coming. He doesn’t talk.’ It turned out she was talking about a dog. Brethren, we are closer to the end than ever before,” he said.

He urged Christians to remain steadfast in their faith and not be swayed by the world’s changing moral landscape.
“Take this matter seriously,” Adeboye emphasized. “Those playing church—singing and clapping without commitment—need to remember Jesus is coming back. The devil wants to harvest you, but don’t give him the chance. I want to see you in my Father’s house.”
