EKO HOT BLOG reports tha the resolution was passed during plenary on Tuesday following the adoption of a motion sponsored by Sulaiman Gumi, who represents Gummi/Bukkuyum Federal Constituency of Zamfara State.
Lawmakers expressed deep concern over the continued wave of killings, kidnappings, bandit attacks, terrorism and other violent crimes across the country, despite repeated assurances from security authorities and the Federal Government.
The House directed the NSA and service chiefs to appear before it to brief lawmakers on ongoing efforts to address insecurity and restore public confidence in the nation’s security architecture.
The summons followed renewed public outrage over recent attacks on schools in Oyo and Borno States, where dozens of pupils, teachers and school workers were abducted by armed groups.

Members of the House said the planned briefing would enable lawmakers to assess the current national security strategy and determine further legislative actions aimed at protecting lives and property across the country.
