Speaking in Jalingo, Taraba State, during the seventh anniversary of her abduction, Rev. Para-Mallam urged both the Nigerian government and the international community to demand her freedom.
“Leah’s parents are still distraught and long to see their daughter again,” he said. “Despite continuous advocacy for her release, she remains in captivity.”
He lamented the silence from the current administration regarding Leah’s case and revealed that she has spent 2,507 days in captivity.

He made a direct appeal to President Bola Tinubu and First Lady, Sen. Remi Tinubu, to take urgent action.
“We appeal to President Tinubu to remember Leah’s plight. We also urge the First Lady, as a mother, to take up Leah’s cause. Leah will turn 22 on May 14, 2025.”
Para-Mallam also called on Boko Haram to release Leah, urging them to act with compassion.
“May God touch your hearts and restore your sense of humanity,” he said.
