Revealed: How Bandits Gunned Down NAF Helicopter, Killed 13 Soldiers In Ambush
EKO HOT BLOG reports that bandits in Niger State have killed 13 soldiers and brought down a Nigerian Air Force helicopter.
The bandits ambushed the soldiers along the Zungeru-Tegina road in the Rafi Local Government Area of the state. They also brought down a helicopter that was on a mission to evacuate casualties from the attack.

The helicopter crashed in the Chukuba Ward of the Shiroro Local Government Area of the state, killing the pilot.
The attack has caused a humanitarian crisis in the area, with villagers fleeing their homes for safety.
The senator representing Niger East Senatorial District, Sani Musa, has called on the Federal Government to deploy all its military and security arsenals to the troubled areas to save innocent lives and their property.
The Nigerian Air Force has confirmed that one of its aircraft crashed in Niger State. The aircraft was on a casualty evacuation mission when it crashed. The Air Force said the cause of the crash is under investigation.
This is the latest in a series of attacks by bandits in Niger State. In recent months, bandits have killed dozens of people and kidnapped hundreds more. The attacks have displaced thousands of people from their homes.
